Wedding Shower

Today was Mari's Wedding/Bridal Shower. It was hosted by her best friend Audra and her family. Lets just say it was awesome. It was so much fun and beautifully decorated with fresh flowers, and candles as party favors.
It started by having people sign in and writing "advice" on a notecard. Dinner started once most guests arrived and here's the awesome menu:

Appetizers:
Cheese and Salsa
Chips and Salsa

Entree:
Tri-tip
Lasagna
Peas
Pasta salad
Brocolli Salad
Green Salad
Rice Pilaf
Fruit Salad
Bread
Strawberry Lemonade

Dessert:
Homemade Ice Cream
Cake
Coffee

After dinner, the best part began! Gift opening time. During the process Audra had a great idea of writing down things Mari said when she opened the gifts.
After the gift opening, a few of the "advice" postcards were read and the lucky person who wrote it got the centerpiece.
At 9:00pm, most people left except for the family. The host Dad finished the party with a bang! literally. He disappeared for a while and all of a sudden we hear a BANG! and fireworks went flying up the sky and then he finished with some firecrackers on the ground. It was pretty cool.
Another awesome part of the night was that a shooting star went across the sky during the party. Great sign!!!

Mari and I just want to Thank Audra and her family for hosting an awesome Wedding Shower. We knew it would be nice but we didn't expect it to be this nice. Thank you again!
