Awesome Weekend

This is us in front of our cozy hotel (29 rooms).

I was finally able to take a weekend off with Wifey for our 2nd year anniversary. Well, it was a multi-purpose trip. We started off by going to Nipomo's Trilogy by Shea Homes to explore some homes. For going there, we were offered $100 gift card to the restaurant, two $100 massage certificates, and $150 credit to the hotel stay. So for showing up and looking at homes, we basically got over $450 worth of goods (not including a thank you basket full of goodies).

We basically had lunch, looked at some model homes, went for our 60 min massages, and then looked at some more models with a salesperson who was extremely helpful. We found a favorite model and it was called Avila. Funny since it's our favorite place to go to relax. As you enter the home, the theme was Porsche. LOL, another sign. Even the pool in the back was an actual porsche design. The sales lady showed us a current "sale" for the model we liked. The price was supposed to be $950K, but now dropped to $750K with an additional $55K in incentives (besides the $71K already spent in upgrades in the $950K price). Included also is free solar panels, 1 year of HOA ($306/mo), and $10K of free massage, golf, food, etc.. Oh, and the lot had a premium of $85K included in the price for being a large lot with the golf course in the backyard.

Needless to say, we are impressed and very tempted to move to Nipomo. Obviously we cannot afford it unless we get rid of a few properties or ALL of them before purchasing something new. And that will probably not happen anytime soon. Either way it was a great way to spend our weekend and getting some free stuff.

Saturday night we checked in at our favorite hotel Avila La Fonda and received some free champagne (but we didn't drink it) and rose petals on the fireplace. We had a relaxing night watching a movie and enjoying the perfect weather.

Sunday we hung out at Avila in the morning and spoke to an artist that was showing his paintings in a little Art Show on the boardwalk. We found out he was originally from the Central Valley, moved to Nipomo and he's a teacher!!! We spoke to him for a while and learned a lot and it was another sign :)

Anyways, we look forward to going back again soon to look some more and really explore the areas. It was awesome to spend a nice relaxing weekend alone with my wonderful wife. Now I can't wait already for end of August when we head off to Seattle for a wedding.
